RED CARPET; Golden Globes 2013

So the Golden Globes were once again a night of elegance, beautiful women and more beautiful dresses.
Here are the 5 who were the most beautiful to me:

Julianne Hough wearing Monique Lhuillier
Isla Fischer wearing Reem Acra
Jennifer Garner wearing Vera Wang
Rachel Weisz wearing Louis Vuitton
Megan Fox wearing Dolce&Gabbana

CATWALK; SS13 Valentino

The SS2013 collection of Valentino had a wide range of colors and pieces and contains a lot of elegance. The ones I like the most are the jumpsuits and the knee-length dresses. Here are some pictures of my favorites:

"Resolutions are like headaches. You forget about them as soon as they stop hurting"

Almost the beginning of a brand new year, the ideal moment to make good resolutions and start with a clean slate! Less unhealthy habits, more exercise and lots of water to drink every day. Also more laughter, more friends and enjoying every moment more. That all sounds very properly. But let's not forget our fashion resolutions for 2013!

  1. Time for change
Change of look is life. Brighten up your wardrobe and experiment with color. Get a new haircut or try a new trend.
  2. Sales items
Buy classics and basics. Because if you buy trendy trendy pieces they are already or almost out of fashion. Think about the future and look for a nice jacket, well fitting jeans and decent boots. If you are looking for something for a special occasion or if your wardrobe is missing that one special piece, go take a look at the more expensive shops. Who knows they still have it in your size! That way you also have a piece of very good quality.
  3. Have a big cleanup in your wardrobe
Count half a day to get this done. The stuff you almost never wear can make room for new items. So away with it, please. But be carefull with buying new items; Why spend money on impulse purchases that you never wear or that don't match other clothes? Think before you go shopping carefully on how much you are willing to spend, what kind of items you need , which trend of the season you want to follow and which one not (in order to avoid bad buys). Below you can find a short movie of Allison McNamara and Beth Zeigler, they show you how to handle that cleanup and give you a lot of useful advice!

New in

As I visited Madrid and Valladolid last weeks, I did a lot of shopping ofcourse!

In Valladolid, I went to Primark! It's such a crazy store! I couldn't believe everything was so cheap!
After spending hours and hours, I finally decided to buy some ankle boots, two blouses and cardigan as you can see below..

In Madrid I went to a lot of shops, but I was most happy with the things I bought at Sfera! There I found the two softest cardigans and glam earrings..

Enough money spent ;) after a while I will go shopping again!

Confessions of a shopaholic

via listal.com
A man will never love you or treat you as well as a store.
If a man doesn't fit, you can't exchange him seven days later for a gorgeous cashmere sweater.
And a store always smells good.
A store can awaken a lust for things you never even knew you needed.
And when your fingers first grasp those shiny, new bags... oh yes.

Valentino F/W 2011/2012

PrĂªt Ă  porter

The F/W collection of Valentino this year is… well, indescribable.

My god, I love the label! Lots of soft pink shades, bows, headbands and low ponytails.
‘Extravagant simplicity’ would be the appropriate term. The collection is very down to earth, but sometimes we see some sparkles. The make-up was kept natural, in order all the attention went to the fabulous clothes.

Haute couture

Just like the collection mentioned above,
the haute couture collection was designed by
Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, and if possible even more dazzling.

The haute couture collection was shown at
HĂ´tel Salomon de Rothschild, 11 rue Berryer, Paris
. The make-up was similar to the prĂªt Ă  porter collection and the ponytails made place for small buns placed low in the neck.

The haute couture showed us some drama, but also made me think of fairies.
Lots of light fabrics, pastel shades and glittering headbands.
There were some black dresses, a lot of bridal pieces and two bright red dresses (Valentino wouldn’t be Valentino without those).

I strongly recommend you to take a look at the videos, so sit back and fall completely in love with this marvelous collection.

Les Nouveaux Coco's

Fancy ladies will be running around the streets during autumn and winter 2011-2012!

Karl Lagerfeld gave a tribute to Coco Chanel in his last collection of haute couture.
That means a lot of tweed, long gloves, suits and knee skirts... The keywords are simplicity and elegance.

Gabrielle Bonheur 'Coco' Chanel made her debut in fashion in the roaring twenties.

She was the one who made up the “garçonne-style” and gave liberty to women in their clothing during WWI. She dressed women in sweaters and pleated skirts with reduced waist.
